Research!America has designated the Monday prior to Thanksgiving Day as the day to recognize the public health workforce and to thank them for their tireless work given each day to protect others from disease, injury and health threats.
Thus, today we want to recognize all of these individuals in the Roanoke Region who work so hard each day to protect, keep us safe and advance medical research. This includes first responders, health care workers, researchers, lab personnel and others.
