RVirginia Western Community College will host a free talk, titled “Economic Outlook: The Long and Short of It”, by renowned international economics professor Dr. David Wheat on Thursday, April 25. Dr. Wheat’s presentation will help students and members of the public understand today’s economic situation and how it impacts their daily lives, opportunities, education and employment.

WHO: Dr. David Wheat, Professor Emeritus
at the University of Bergen, returned to the U.S. in 2018 after fifteen years
in Norway. He continues to teach economic systems modeling to graduate students
in Norway, Ukraine and Lithuania. He has been teaching macroeconomics to
undergraduates at Virginia Western Community College for more than 20 years.
